# Kol Cambridge > The world's longest-running podcast about Israeli music. Founded in January 2005 by DJ Antithesis as a student show at Cambridge University Radio (CUR1350); now broadcast monthly from Tel Aviv on TLV1. Every episode is a 60-minute survey of the best new releases in Israeli pop, mizrahi, rap, rock and Hebrew song, with English commentary. Listener-funded since 2020, ad-free, on air for 21+ years. ## About the show Kol Cambridge is hosted by **DJ Antithesis** (Samuel Green), a London-born, Cambridge-educated, Tel-Aviv-based broadcaster who founded the show in January 2005 while studying for a degree in Hebrew and Israeli Studies. It became the first podcast in the world about Israeli music and was nominated for a BBC Student Radio Award in the Specialist Music Programming category. The show ran continuously at Cambridge University Radio (CUR1350), then via Shalom FM London, then went on hiatus, before relaunching in 2013 on TLV1 in Tel Aviv where it has aired monthly ever since. Off-air, DJ Antithesis is a musician (antithesismc.com) and a licensed tour guide in Israel. Each monthly episode runs about one hour and covers 15-20 brand-new tracks across genres: pop, mizrahi (Mizrahi/Mediterranean), Hebrew rock, hip-hop and rap, world fusion, and the occasional Yiddish or Ladino piece. Past guests in the studio have included Sarit Hadad, David Broza, Ivri Lider, Shiri Maimon, Subliminal & Shi 360, Mosh Ben-Ari, The Revivo Project, Rabbi Lord Sacks, and the author Etgar Keret. The show is independent, crowdfunded by listeners via Patreon, with five tiers named after streets in Tel Aviv: Florentine, Allenby, Ben Yehuda, Dizengoff, Rothschild. There are no adverts and no PR pre-screening. ## Important pages - [Homepage](https://kolcambridge.com/): hero with the latest episode, monthly cover-art carousel, past-guest portraits, host bio. - [About](https://kolcambridge.com/about/): full origin story, host bio, press coverage, FAQ. - [Episodes archive](https://kolcambridge.com/episodes/): all 309+ episodes, browsable by era (Cambridge / TLV1 / Independent) and year. - [Notebook](https://kolcambridge.com/notebook/): editorial posts by DJ Antithesis — liner notes, dispatches, field notes. - [Guests](https://kolcambridge.com/guests/): directory of artists and personalities who've been on the show. - [Gallery](https://kolcambridge.com/gallery/): photos from live gigs (Tel Aviv, Tokyo, London, Cambridge) and the TLV1 studio. - [Contact](https://kolcambridge.com/contact/): direct message form to DJ Antithesis. - [Patreon](https://www.patreon.com/cw/kolcambridge): support the show. ## Where to listen - Apple Podcasts: search "Kol Cambridge" - Spotify, RSS feeds, and TLV1: links on each episode page - RSS feed: https://feeds.libsyn.com/53047/rss ## Press Kol Cambridge has been covered by Times of Israel, The Jerusalem Post, The Jewish Chronicle (UK), The Jewish News, The Canadian Jewish News, and The Jewish Telegraph.
